Comfort food: Sometimes when you've had a rough day, and it's cold and wet outside, you just want to go home, get warm and eat some comfort food. My favourite is tuna casserole, with lots of cheese. What's yours?

Macaroni and cheese casserole! Like my grandma used to make it: with butter, evaporated milk, asiago and about a pound of cheddar cheese, baked until the edges turn brown. Not healthy, but delicious. Yum. --Arien
ReplyDeleteMy grandma's cabbage rolls with tons of dry cured ribs on a cold, wet, foggy day. That's food that'll keep you going. Unfortunately, you'll probably be going straight to the couch for a nap.
ReplyDeleteI tend to like sweet things more, so usually I'll bake some banana bread, cookies or cupcakes if I need a comfort fix. Otherwise 'comfort foods' for me tend to be things I grew up eating, like borscht (beet soup) and fried cabbage...
ReplyDeleteMy favourite comfort food is pizza or any chocolate dessert.
ReplyDeleteI like to have a hot meal when the weather is poor such as spagetti, chilli with tortilla chips, or even a homemade soup and sandwich. Kara
ReplyDeleteSometimes I can't wait till I get home so I go over to Main St. for a couple of samosas. Heavenly. --Carmela

ReplyDeleteHomemade chocolate chip cookies (Ones just out of the oven are best)
