Comfort food: Sometimes when you've had a rough day, and it's cold and wet outside, you just want to go home, get warm and eat some comfort food. My favourite is tuna casserole, with lots of cheese. What's yours?

  1. Macaroni and cheese casserole! Like my grandma used to make it: with butter, evaporated milk, asiago and about a pound of cheddar cheese, baked until the edges turn brown. Not healthy, but delicious. Yum. --Arien

  2. My grandma's cabbage rolls with tons of dry cured ribs on a cold, wet, foggy day. That's food that'll keep you going. Unfortunately, you'll probably be going straight to the couch for a nap.

  3. I tend to like sweet things more, so usually I'll bake some banana bread, cookies or cupcakes if I need a comfort fix. Otherwise 'comfort foods' for me tend to be things I grew up eating, like borscht (beet soup) and fried cabbage...

  14. I love the chowder my dad makes. It has potatoes, corn, carrots, cheese, celery, and more. It tastes so good on a cold day, but it takes a long time to make so I never have it as often as I want.

  17. Soup. Chicken Noodle, preferably, but I don't cook and therefore am not one to turn down whatever else is offered. If someone wants to make me Cream of Broccoli, so be it.

Mashed potatoes is a beautiful option too.

  20. I have far to many favourites to choose from. If I absolutely had to pick just one favourite, I would have to go with a shrimp and mushroom skillet. Or maybe Sushi, possibly a cold pint and a burger.....

  25. I don't really eat much, but I do enjoy having hot chocolate or even a bar of chocolate... but if I had to choose a comfort food, it would be Apple Strudel which is delicious or even a peanut butter and jam sandwich. I'm simplistic when it comes down to comfort foods.
